Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police have released surveillance footage of a person of interest sought in connection with the killing of an 87-year-old philanthropist in Maryland.

As previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, Robert Fuller Jr., 87, was discovered on Valentine’s Day with a fatal gunshot wound inside his apartment at the Cogir of Potomac Senior Living in Potomac, Maryland. Authorities have ruled the death a homicide.

Police have not publicly identified a suspect. However, surveillance video shows an individual with long hair leaving the facility around the time of the killing. According to ABC News, investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person, whose face is not clearly visible in the footage.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the senior living facility at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 14 after Fuller was found unresponsive in his apartment. First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Major crimes detectives were called after responders observed trauma to his head, and investigators later concluded he had been murdered.

Authorities say they have not yet determined the suspect’s race or gender.

Management at the Cogir facility has indicated that staff members are not considered suspects. In a memo to residents, administrators described the incident as isolated and said there is no ongoing threat to residents or employees.

The memo added that additional security measures and personnel have been put in place “out of an abundance of caution” to reassure residents and their families.

Fuller was widely known for his philanthropy, donating millions of dollars over his lifetime to support projects and causes in his hometown of Augusta, Maine.
