Pennsylvania Principal Expertly Lays Down the Law on Bratty Students Cutting Class to Protest ICE

A Pennsylvania principal is gaining attention online for his firm handling of students skipping class to protest ICE.
A student at Wilson High School in Spring Township, Pennsylvania, using the TikTok username othersideofanalia, posted a video on Wednesday showing Principal Daniel Weber addressing students who had walked out of class. The students were protesting against Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the federal agency responsible for enforcing immigration laws.
In the video, Weber calmly explained the consequences for skipping class.
“We go back to class, and we’re good. If you stay out here, we will get your names, you will be suspended, OK?” Weber said. “That event was canceled. You left school without permission. Your rights do not supersede the school. So if you understand that, that is your option.”
He repeated that students who refused to return would face suspension. “If you wish to return, Doctor Damiani will let you in that door over there. If not, I will be getting your names. You will be suspended, OK? Those are your options. Your rights do not exceed that of the school.”
According to WFMZ, the school had initially considered allowing an anti-ICE protest, but the event was canceled. Despite this, about 60 students walked out. The students later returned to class without incident, though disciplinary action is expected. It is unclear whether this includes suspension or expulsion.
Weber’s approach contrasts with situations in other areas where student protests have led to serious consequences. Last week in Washington state, two students were arrested after an independent journalist was assaulted, and today, other students ran onto a four-lane highway to protest ICE, fortunately without any injuries.
