Incel Islamist Who Threatened Valentine’s Day Massacre Pleads Guilty to Possessing Bomb-Making Materials – Also Posted Photo of Himself Giving Nazi Salute
Dihan Rahman pleaded guilty to possessing bomb-making guides. Is seen online giving a Nazi salute.
Dihan Rahman has pleaded guilty to possessing bomb-making materials last week. He had been planning an attack targeting a high school prom, with the potential for a massive Valentine’s Day massacre.
Rahman entered his guilty plea on the second day of his trial.
Authorities said Rahman possessed terrorist material, including guides on how to build explosives, following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing London. Violent Islamist material was also found on his phone.
According to Sky News, Rahman was the administrator of a far-right social media group, in what is thought to be the first known case of extremists from different ideologies connecting over shared antisemitic views. He posted a photo of himself giving the Nazi salute online.
Police also identified Rahman as an “incel,” a member of an online community of young men who believe they are unable to attract women, often expressing hostility toward women and sexually active men.
