Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) responded strongly on X following comments made by President Trump during a recent interview with Larry Kudlow on Fox Business.
In the interview, President Trump discussed his administration’s efforts to address fraud across the country, including concerns he raised about activity in Minnesota. During the conversation, he referenced the Somali community and criticized Rep. Omar, calling her a “fake congresswoman” and saying, “She’s so bad.”
Trump: “Somalia has come in here — what they’ve done to our country, these people — they’ve come into our country, and what they’ve done with that fake congresswoman. She’s so bad.” pic.twitter.com/SX5idZqV3R

Rep. Omar reacted to the remarks on social media, accusing President Trump of attempting to shift attention away from allegations tied to the Epstein case. In her post, she wrote, “The leader of the Pedophile Protection Party is trying to deflect attention from his name being all over the Epstein files.”
She added a controversial comparison, writing, “At least in Somalia, they execute pedophiles, not elect them.”
