British Olympic Skier URINATES ‘F-ck ICE’ into the Snow Ahead of Winter Games in Italy
British freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, who resides in the United States, made headlines by urinating in the snow to express his opposition to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) just before the Winter Games in Milan-Cortina.
According to reports, the 34-year-old athlete—who competes for Team Great Britain—shaped the words in the snow and shared a photo of the act on social media. In his post, Kenworthy encouraged his followers to contact their senators and push back against ICE amid ongoing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding discussions.

Kenworthy provided a suggested script for Americans to use when calling their senators:
Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State].
I’m calling to urge Senator [Name] to refuse to support any final Department of Homeland Security funding agreement that fails to meaningfully rein in ICE and Border Patrol.
Innocent people have been harmed, and enough is enough. Senators still have leverage and must demand real safeguards and accountability—including removing ICE and CBP from communities, ending unrestricted funding for enforcement, and establishing clear limits on warrantless arrests, profiling, and enforcement at sensitive locations such as schools and hospitals. Please share this message with the Senator. Thank you.
The protest coincides with broader demonstrations in Milan, where some activists carried banners with slogans such as “ICE out” and “F*ck ICE,” opposing the deployment of ICE agents at Olympic sites for security purposes.
Despite the provocative nature of Kenworthy’s protest, he faces no sanctions from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Under Rule 50.2 of the Olympic Charter, political demonstrations are prohibited within Olympic venues, but actions outside official sites—shared via personal social media—are not subject to penalties, according to The Guardian.
Kenworthy, born in England and raised in Colorado, has a long history of blending athletics and activism. He competed for Team USA in the 2014 and 2018 Olympics before switching to Great Britain in 2022, placing eighth in Beijing. Ahead of the 2022 Games, he criticized China’s human rights record, particularly regarding LGBT rights.
