Vance tells Nazi-loving troll Nick Fuentes to ‘eat s–t,’

WASHINGTON — Vice President JD Vance reiterated his condemnation of political commentator Nick Fuentes while declining to comment directly on Fuentes’ online followers, saying he was not familiar enough with them to weigh in.

Fuentes, who has drawn widespread criticism in recent years for praising authoritarian figures and promoting racist and antisemitic views, previously made derogatory remarks about Second Lady Usha Vance’s Indian heritage. Vance addressed those remarks in prior interviews and again made clear he does not tolerate attacks on his family.

“Of course I do,” Vance told the Daily Mail when asked if he condemns Fuentes. “Anybody who goes after my family, whatever side they’re on, they’re on the opposite side of me.”

Fuentes has also criticized Vance publicly, questioning his role within the Make America Great Again movement.

Vance previously addressed the issue in an interview with UnHerd last December, stating that anyone who attacks his wife “can eat s—t,” a remark he referenced again in his latest comments. Usha Vance is expecting the couple’s fourth child in July.

In response to the Daily Mail interview, Fuentes posted “Never Vance” on X.

When asked whether Fuentes’ followers — often referred to online as “groypers” — should be welcomed into the Republican Party, Vance declined to comment specifically.

“What do you mean by supporters?” Vance said. “I think people are going to vote for us or not vote for us. I think there are certain things that we should have the moral clarity to condemn. I think hatred toward Jews is disgusting.”

Fuentes has faced significant criticism for denying or minimizing the Holocaust and for promoting conspiracy theories involving Jewish people. His views have sparked division within some conservative circles, including after a widely discussed interview with Tucker Carlson that drew backlash from commentators such as Ben Shapiro.

Both Vance and President Trump largely avoided engaging publicly in that dispute at the time. Vance instead spoke broadly about what he described as “cancel culture” within conservative politics during remarks at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest last year.

“I didn’t bring a list of conservatives to denounce or to deplatform,” Vance said at the event.

Fuentes has since indicated he would oppose Vance politically if Vance were to denounce him further.

In his Daily Mail interview, Vance emphasized his opposition to racial and religious hatred.

“You shouldn’t hate people because they’re white. You shouldn’t hate people because they’re Jewish. You shouldn’t hate people because they’re black,” Vance said. “I don’t like anybody who engages in that kind of thinking.”
