Deer Smashes Through Bank Window, Triggers Alarm
Police in Long Island got an unexpected call Sunday when a bank alarm went off—but the “suspect” wasn’t a thief. Suffolk County officers rushed to a Webster Bank branch in the hamlet of Ridge, only to find a buck had broken through a window and become trapped inside.
Video shared by police shows the startled deer thrashing around the office, leaving a trail of chaos. “He has antlers, so just a heads up,” one officer warned a colleague as they tried to navigate the scene. The deer even got stuck in a cubicle while trying to escape.
Officers eventually managed to lasso the buck and guide it outside, where it was safely released. The police department joked, “We think the buck was looking for bucks.”
