Anti-ICE activists in Minneapolis are allegedly distributing devices designed to deflate vehicle tires in an effort to disrupt immigration enforcement operations, according to a local political figure.

The devices, described as 3D-printed “tire drainers,” were reportedly found in the Dinkytown area near the University of Minnesota. A package containing several of the devices, along with printed materials encouraging their use against Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicles, was recovered and shared publicly by Jeremy Munson, a former Minnesota state representative.

The accompanying flyer urged individuals to target unattended ICE vehicles and claimed that disabling those vehicles would interfere with enforcement efforts. The materials also included a QR code linking to a digital design file for producing the devices and information on how to obtain additional units.

Munson criticized the activity as dangerous and criminal, arguing that sabotaging vehicles could put law enforcement officers and the public at risk. He also expressed concern that the materials appeared aimed at college students in the surrounding neighborhood.

In response to ongoing activist activity, the Department of Homeland Security announced an expansion of federal operations in Minneapolis. The agency confirmed that an additional 1,000 officers were deployed to the city, signaling that enforcement efforts would be intensified rather than scaled back.

The situation continues to draw attention as tensions remain high between immigration activists and federal authorities under President Trump’s administration.
