An Ohio woman says her car was struck by gunfire during her drive home from work this week after an apparent road-rage incident she believes was triggered by her pro-Trump license plate.
The woman, identified as Jody, told FOX 19 NOW she was driving along the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway in Cincinnati on Monday night when a black vehicle with tinted windows aggressively approached her from behind. Moments later, she heard what sounded like gunshots hitting her car.
“I looked over and saw a black car with tinted windows,” Jody said. “I decided to speed up a bit, and as soon as I pressed the gas, I heard ‘pop, pop’ and knew something had hit my car.”

She said the vehicle immediately sped away. After arriving home, Jody and her husband discovered two small dents on the right rear bumper, which she believes were caused by rounds from a small-caliber firearm.
Jody’s car displays a personalized license plate reading “MAGAGRL,” and she believes it may have made her a target.
She said she has experienced harassment before, including drivers yelling profanities, honking, or making obscene gestures. “That stuff doesn’t bother me,” she said. “Words don’t hurt me.”
However, this incident has changed her perspective. “Now I’m realizing how serious this is — that my license plate could trigger someone just because I believe something different,” she said. “It’s not right for someone to want to hurt another person over a political disagreement.”
Jody reported the incident to the Springfield Township Police Department on Tuesday. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the alleged shooting.
Springfield Township police did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
