MUST WATCH: ICE Agent Blasts ‘God Bless the USA’ in Minneapolis, Triggers Epic Leftist Meltdown Amid Ongoing Deportation Raids
A video circulating on social media shows a tense confrontation involving an ICE agent in Minneapolis that quickly drew widespread attention online.
The clip, shared on X by journalist Eric Daugherty, shows an ICE SUV driving through a snowy intersection near a railroad crossing while Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the USA” plays loudly from the vehicle with the windows down. The person filming the video reacts angrily, shouting insults at the agent as the vehicle continues on its way.
The video went viral shortly after being posted, reaching tens of thousands of views within the first hour.
The incident occurred amid ICE’s ongoing “Operation Metro Surge,” a law enforcement initiative launched in Minnesota in December. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the operation has led to more than 400 arrests statewide. DHS officials say those taken into custody include individuals accused or convicted of serious crimes such as sexual offenses and violent acts, as well as people allegedly involved in large-scale fraud schemes.

ICE has confirmed that agents are currently active in Minneapolis as part of investigations tied to alleged fraud within the state’s Somali community, including cases involving misuse of public assistance funds.
ICE Director Todd Lyons addressed the operation during an appearance on Fox & Friends last week, saying that the agency’s work in Minnesota goes beyond administrative enforcement.
“Too often people claim ICE is simply intimidating communities,” Lyons said. “In Minnesota, we’ve been conducting criminal and Homeland Security investigations, going door to door at locations tied to suspected fraud across St. Paul and other parts of the state.”
Fox News reported that the investigation follows multiple fraud allegations, including those highlighted in a viral video by independent journalist Nick Shirley. That video showed visits to several Minnesota daycare facilities, including Quality Learning Center in Minneapolis, which appeared inactive at the time despite reportedly receiving state childcare assistance funds.
