STRANGE: President Trump’s Christmas Eve Call with Troops Abruptly Cut Off (VIDEO)

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump spoke with U.S. troops by phone on Christmas Eve, offering holiday wishes and words of appreciation for their service.

During the call, President Trump highlighted the $1,776 Christmas bonus given to service members, noting that it was tax-free and delivered in time for the holidays.

“It’s tax-free and we distributed almost all of it in time for Christmas, and you’ve earned it,” the president told the troops.

Trump said the country is in a strong position, pointing to hundreds of millions of dollars collected through tariffs. Six military units—one from each branch of the U.S. armed forces—participated in the video call. These included the U.S. Army’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team and members of the 34th Infantry Division stationed in Iraq.

The president also expressed gratitude to sailors serving aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford, which was operating in the Caribbean Sea.

“I want to thank you all. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas,” Trump said.

At one point, the connection with the troops was suddenly lost.

“We lost the connection, sir. We’re going to try to bring it back up,” an aide told the president.

“The sound was cut off. The picture was cut off,” Trump said, appearing visibly irritated.

“I think that’s the enemy doing it,” he added.
