Husband receives wildly inappropriate offer from high school girlfriend
DEAR ABBY:
My husband of more than 20 years recently received a Facebook message from an old high school girlfriend. The message was extremely risque and ended with an offer to fly out and “meet up” if he was interested. When he read it aloud, he shared it with me and his best friend, who happened to be visiting. The two of them laughed so hard they were in tears, while I was thinking she had a lot of nerve.
My husband politely declined her offer, but later that night, I did a little internet digging (who wouldn’t?). Abby, it turns out she’s a marriage counselor! Her message went from being a clichéd flirtation to completely inappropriate. I can’t believe someone in her profession would act this way. I’m tempted to confront her, but I’m unsure if I should. What do you think?
