The Christmas market in the medieval town near Lyon received a surprise visit on Saturday, December 13th, from Pam Bondi, the US Attorney General, who was taking a break from her official schedule.
"We were notified the day before that we would have a visit from a VIP," said Laurence Thibaut, the general manager of the Hostellerie du Vieux Pérouges.
According to Laurence Thibaut, Pam Bondi, the US Attorney General, was taking a break from her official duties at Interpol, whose headquarters are in Lyon.
The former lawyer for Donald Trump was keen to do some sightseeing and visit the Christmas market in the medieval town, located near the ancient capital of Gaul.
Pam Bondi took advantage of her brief visit to sample a slice of Pérouges sugar galette (a type of flat cake) accompanied by a glass of Seyssel wine.
