Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Actor Killed in NYC

An actor who appeared in an episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel died after being struck by a vehicle in New York City on Monday night. Wenne Alton Davis, 60, was walking near the intersection of West 53rd Street and Broadway in Midtown Manhattan around 9 p.m. when an SUV making a turn hit her, according to People.
Davis, a resident of Queens, suffered significant head and body injuries and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital, police reported. The 61-year-old driver remained at the scene and was not injured. Authorities say no arrests have been made.
Davis played a police officer in a 2023 episode of Amazon Prime’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Her résumé also included appearances on NBC’s New Amsterdam and Blindspot in 2019, per her IMDb profile. Originally from North Carolina, she moved to New York City in her late twenties, beginning her career as a stand-up comic before turning to acting. Her agent told The New York Times that she also worked in security at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
