WATCH: DoorDash driver drops chicken wing on concrete, puts it back in box, and licks fingers in gross caught-on-camera scene

A DoorDash driver was caught on a Ring camera putting a fallen chicken wing back into a customer’s takeout container—then casually licking sauce from his fingers as he walked away, without notifying anyone.

Florida resident Trena Brown shared the unsettling footage with WJXT after the incident at her Orange Park home on Sunday. In the video, the driver struggles to pull the order from his insulated DoorDash bag when a container of boneless wings slips out and hits the ground.

He bends down, replaces the lid, and then notices one wing and a smear of sauce left on the concrete. The footage shows him picking up the dropped wing, stuffing it back into the container, and attempting to scuff away the sauce with his shoe. Moments later, he strolls off—licking sauce from his fingers.

Brown said she and her family would have never known what happened if not for the security camera. Now she’s calling for improvements in delivery standards and training.

“If he can’t deliver food with due care, then maybe there’s something else he should be doing,” Brown told the outlet. “As for DoorDash, I’m not sure what their training looks like, but maybe it’s time to bring drivers in or require some sort of instruction.”

Since the messy mishap, Brown hasn’t ordered takeout again. DoorDash issued a statement acknowledging that the driver’s behavior fell “well below” its expected level of service and said the company is investigating the incident. The driver has received a warning.
