In his new book, Charlie Sheen shares that he hasn’t had a girlfriend in eight years—but he does have a renewed legal battle with an ex-wife. According to USA Today, Brooke Mueller, 48, Sheen’s third wife, filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday claiming he owes nearly $9 million in unpaid child support for their 16-year-old twin sons, Bob and Max.

Mueller says the unpaid—or partially paid—support of $55,000 per month dates all the way back to 2011. Her filing requests that Sheen bring all payments current through this month and either pay the full $8,967,600 or formally respond within 30 days.

She also argues that Sheen owes an additional $6.4 million in interest, plus $25,000 in legal fees.

A spokesperson for Sheen disputed the claims, pointing to Mueller’s long-running challenges. “Brooke has been in and out of rehab for 15 years, while Charlie has had 100% custody of the kids, which is why she is not entitled to any child support,” the spokesperson told TMZ. Mueller has openly discussed her struggles with substance abuse, and People reports that court documents show the parents share legal custody, provided Mueller remains free of drugs and alcohol. The twins’ primary residence is listed as being with Sheen.

Sheen and Mueller were married from 2008 to 2011.
