BREAKING: President Trump Responds After Previously Deported Illegal Alien Stabs Man on Charlotte Light Rail
A 33-year-old man, Oscar Solarzano, has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing on a Charlotte, North Carolina, light rail train Friday evening. The attack occurred just before 5 p.m. on the Lynx Blue Line near North Brevard Street and East 22nd Street, where the train came to a stop between stations.
According to court records, Solarzano was reportedly intoxicated on the train, shouted at passengers, and challenged the victim to a fight before stabbing him. The victim, a male passenger, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Novant Health Presbyterian. He is now in stable condition.

Solarzano faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, carrying a concealed weapon, and being intoxicated and disruptive. He is being held without bond. Court documents state that he is in the country illegally and had been previously deported.
This incident marks the second violent stabbing on Charlotte’s light rail system this year. In August, Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was fatally stabbed on the same transit line by a career criminal.
President Donald J. Trump commented on the latest attack, writing: “Another stabbing by an Illegal Migrant in Charlotte, North Carolina. What’s going on in Charlotte? Democrats are destroying it, like everything else, piece by piece!!!”
Authorities continue to investigate as local leaders face renewed pressure to address safety concerns on public transportation.
