Bidens Shut Down Main Street of Nantucket So They Can Shop at Ritzy Stores
The Biden family returned to Nantucket, the upscale island off Cape Cod, for their traditional Thanksgiving visit.
The Bidens have spent most Thanksgivings there since 1975, and in recent years they’ve stayed at billionaire David Rubenstein’s Nantucket estate.
According to reporting from the New York Post, the entire family was seen shopping at high-end boutiques downtown. They also stopped for lunch and drinks at the Lemon Press café before continuing on in their motorcade.
The Post noted that Joe and Hunter Biden were spotted walking through downtown Nantucket with Joe Biden’s grandchildren during their pre-holiday outing. Joe, Hunter, and Ashley Biden were photographed browsing local shops alongside Hunter’s four children on Wednesday afternoon. These were the first photos of Joe and Hunter together since Joe Biden left the White House last January, according to the report.

Hunter was also photographed smiling for cameras while accompanying his father, who recently completed a round of radiation treatment, as reported by the Post.
After shopping, the family had lunch at Lemon Press, a small café known for its pricey midday offerings, before splitting off into separate vehicles in the motorcade. As Joe Biden departed the historic downtown area, Hunter was seen putting an arm around his wife, Melissa Biden, while walking down Main Street with their security team close behind.
The visit caused significant traffic issues as Biden’s presence led to the shutdown of a main downtown street—one of the busiest shopping days of the year as locals prepared for Thanksgiving.
