Jewelry heist suspect arrested completely nude after running over man with his car
SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested after a bizarre crime spree that included a store robbery, hitting a person with his car, and fleeing completely nude across a highway.
The incident happened Saturday around 4:45 p.m. near Mayfield Boulevard and S. Zarzamora Road, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Police say the 38-year-old suspect broke into a jewelry store, smashing a display case, before fleeing to his car. He drove over a curb onto the sidewalk, where a 60-year-old man tried to intervene. Authorities say the suspect struck the man with his car door and ran him over.
Police received a description of the vehicle and quickly located it on the highway. The suspect then attempted to escape on foot, running nude across the road.
He was eventually apprehended and arrested on multiple charges.
