Perv groped three kids inside Long Island T.J. Maxx — but claims he ‘just brushed by

Suffolk County detectives say a recent incident involving a man named Gomez is part of a troubling pattern of alleged misconduct. Authorities claim Gomez previously groped a 7-year-old girl in April and an 11-year-old girl in September, both incidents occurring in the same store.
Gomez’s attorney, Joseph Hanshe, called the allegations a misunderstanding. “He claims that he was just passing by in the aisle and brushed along,” Hanshe said in a statement. “He said he didn’t do anything wrong.”
Gomez, a maintenance worker who legally immigrated from Honduras, has lived in Suffolk County for approximately nine years. His current immigration status has not been confirmed.
He now faces three counts of first-degree sexuual child abuse, along with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, prosecutors said. Gomez has pleaded not guilty and is being held at Suffolk County’s third precinct on $50,000 bail. Authorities indicated that additional felony charges could be filed.
