A polyamorous relationship is a romantic arrangement in which people have consensual relationships with more than one partner at the same time. While most Americans say they would definitely not consider being in a polyamorous relationship, among those who would definitely or probably consider it, 58% say it’s because they want different needs fulfilled, 49% cite a desire for more sex, and 48% mention a desire for more variety.
