An Israeli tourist with ties to the IDF was hospitalized Monday after a violent antisemitic attack on his way to a Manhattan kosher deli.

Rami Glikstein, 59, visiting from Jerusalem, was walking to Mr. Broadway, a kosher deli on West 38th Street near Seventh Avenue, around 12:40 p.m. when a stranger approached him and shouted, “What the f–k is your religion?” according to police and Glikstein’s Facebook post.

The attacker, dressed in all black, knocked Glikstein’s yarmulke off, stomped on it, and walked away. Moments later, he returned and punched Glikstein in the face, sending him to the ground.

The assault left Glikstein with facial cuts, bruising, and internal brain bleeding. He was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital. Glikstein, an educator and IDF lecturer, shared that the attack would not stop him from returning to the deli.
