A trained mixed martial arts fighter in Florida defended his sister’s home and left an intruder battered after the man claimed he mistakenly walked in following a night of drinking.

Henny Rojas was sleeping at his relative’s Wilton Manors home, just north of Fort Lauderdale, on Saturday morning when his teenage nephew woke him in a panic, reporting that a stranger was in the living room, CBS12 reported.

“I’m prepared. It’s not my first time; I don’t feel pain. Nothing,” Rojas told CBS12. “I don’t have guns; I wasn’t looking for a knife — just God and my hands, that’s it.”

With three years of MMA training under his belt, Rojas confronted the intruder, identified as 31-year-old Austin Carasani, using his fighting skills to subdue him until police arrived to make the arrest.

Rojas’ sister, Patrizia, and her husband were in Miami at the time when their son called with a terrifying message. “He was screaming, ‘Mom, call police, someone has broken into the house,’” Patrizia recalled.

Carasani appeared before a judge hours later, with visible welts covering his face. He told police that after drinking at a nearby club, he was trying to reach a friend’s home — “Paul’s house” — but accidentally entered the wrong residence.

Rojas and his family said they had never seen Carasani before and had no connection to him. Carasani is now facing home invasion charges and remains in custody at the Broward County Jail, with bond set at $20,000.

Rojas told CBS12 that he was grateful to use his training to protect his family and has no regrets about how he handled the situation.
