Pregnant Woman Allegedly Overdoses on Tylenol Trying to “Prove Trump Wrong” — Now on Ventilator Fighting for Life: REPORT
Nicole Sirotek, founder of American Frontline Nurses, shared the tragic story of a pregnant woman who allegedly overdosed on Tylenol in an attempt to “prove Trump wrong”
Nicole Sirotek, founder of the group American Frontline Nurses, says she received an early-morning call from a husband whose pregnant wife was on a ventilator after allegedly overdosing on acetaminophen (Tylenol) to “prove President Trump wrong” about recent comments linking acetaminophen use during pregnancy to neurodevelopmental risks. The account was published by The Gateway Pundit; the outlet says it could not independently verify Sirotek’s claims
Sirotek posted video updates describing the 4 a.m. call and the woman’s condition, saying the patient—she described the pregnancy as about 23–25 weeks—was suffering liver failure and was unlikely to survive. In those posts Sirotek blamed social-media challenges and political anger for the alleged overdose and urged viewers to pray for the family. The claims, as presented online, remain anecdotal and uncorroborated by hospital or public-health authorities.

Got a frantic call at 4am from a husband who was given my phone number via someone who had it. His pregnant wife is now on a ventilator dying of liver failure trying to “prove” that Tylenol doesn’t cause autism since this is trending in TikTok.— Nicole Sirotek (@NicoleSirotek) September 24, 2025
The episode comes after the White House and HHS released an advisory linking acetaminophen use during pregnancy to possible increased risks of conditions such as autism and ADHD and said federal agencies would pursue label changes and related guidance. Officials including President Trump and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have framed the move as a precautionary response to recent studies.
Medical and public-health groups have urged caution. Major organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, have pushed back against broad public warnings, noting that the evidence is mixed and that acetaminophen remains an important pain- and fever-management option for many pregnant patients. International bodies, including the World Health Organization, have also warned against overstating an unsettled association and urged pregnant people to follow clinicians’ advice.

Separately, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration confirmed it is initiating a process to review labeling for acetaminophen and issued a notice to physicians describing recent research suggesting a possible association between prenatal acetaminophen exposure and later neurodevelopmental outcomes. The FDA also reiterated longstanding warnings that acetaminophen overdose can cause severe liver damage and death, and noted prior steps it has taken to reduce overdose risks.

Because the original account stems from social-media reporting by a partisan advocacy figure and was published by an outlet that acknowledged it could not independently confirm the husband’s call or the patient’s condition, key elements of the story remain unverified. Reporters have not found corroboration from hospital officials or emergency-response records as of this writing.
