Trump on Chicago: ‘We’re Going In’

President Trump, speaking to reporters in the Oval Office for the first time in a week, announced Tuesday that the US Space Command headquarters will relocate from Colorado to Huntsville, Alabama—a place he described as a “beautiful locale.” Trump said the move was partly motivated by Colorado’s use of mail-in ballots, which he labeled a “big problem” and claimed contributed to an “automatically crooked election,” according to the Washington Post.

Plans for National Guard Deployment in Chicago

When asked about deploying the National Guard to Chicago, Trump responded, “We’re going in,” as reported by the New York Times. He did not specify a timeline for sending troops but emphasized the decision was not political, telling the Associated Press, “I have an obligation.”

Addressing Rumors About His Death

Responding to viral social media rumors over the weekend that claimed he was dead, Trump said he was unaware of those specific claims but acknowledged hearing concerns about his health. “No, I’ve been very active actually,” he told CNN. “Over the weekend, I didn’t hear that one, that’s pretty serious.” Trump noted he held “numerous” press conferences last week and suggested that media speculation grew only after he paused public appearances for two days. “They said, ‘There must be something wrong with him.’ Biden wouldn’t do them for months,” he added.

White House Video Controversy

Trump also addressed a video circulating online that showed someone throwing objects out of a White House window. He claimed it was artificially generated by AI, saying, “You can’t open the windows… and don’t forget, they’re heavily armored and bulletproof,” according to the Telegraph. However, the White House press office has stated the footage was authentic, showing a contractor conducting routine maintenance, per the New York Times.

Tariffs and Supreme Court Appeal

Finally, Trump announced plans to seek an expedited Supreme Court ruling on Wednesday to overturn a federal appeals court decision that ruled many of his tariffs unlawful, NBC News reports.
