Husband of woman found dead in national forest seen on Ring footage dragging large object from home
Authorities say a California man was captured on home surveillance footage dragging a suspiciously shaped object wrapped in a sheet from his residence—just one day before his wife was found dead in a national forest.
According to KTLA, 36-year-old Jossimar Cabrera was seen on a neighbor’s Ring camera on August 12 pulling what appeared to be a green sheet or tarp containing a body from his home in Lancaster, Los Angeles County. Investigators believe the object contained the remains of his wife, 33-year-old Sheylla Cabrera.

The following day, Sheylla’s body was discovered wrapped in a similar tarp or sheet in Angeles National Forest. She was a mother of three.
After confirming her identity, detectives went to the couple’s home but found neither Jossimar nor the children. All were initially reported missing.
On Saturday, authorities located the children in Peru, where they had been taken by their father, a Peruvian national, who reportedly left the U.S. before his wife’s body was found, FoxLA reported.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says it is working with Peruvian law enforcement to extradite Cabrera, who is expected to face murder charges.
Sheylla Cabrera’s official cause of death has not yet been released.
