“I’m Superman, Godd**n It…I’m Gonna Kick Your F**king Teeth In!” – South Carolina Dem Gubernatorial Candidate Goes on WILD Tirade As He’s Arrested in His Underwear

A recently released police video shows South Carolina Democratic gubernatorial candidate William “Mullins” McLeod being arrested in downtown Charleston while wearing only underwear and shoes, and engaging in a series of erratic and profane outbursts.

The incident occurred on May 15, according to WCBD, when Charleston police responded to reports of a man “yelling at the top of his lungs.” Officers found McLeod, 53, walking through the area, visibly agitated and partially undressed.

On August 12, the Charleston Police Department made the bodycam footage public following a Freedom of Information Act request. The hour-long video shows McLeod shouting, using racial slurs, and comparing himself to God and Superman. At one point, he declared, “I’m one of the most just humans to ever walk this soil. I’m Superman, godd*mn it.”

The footage also captures McLeod, a married father of four, making threatening and profane remarks about several current and former South Carolina Republican officials, including Attorney General Alan Wilson, who is also running for governor. McLeod can be heard shouting, “I’m gonna kick your f**king teeth in!” in reference to Wilson.

Upon arrival at the Al Cannon Detention Center, McLeod reportedly refused to exit the police vehicle, telling officers, “I’m not getting out of this car. It’s time to go to bed.”

A preliminary incident report noted that McLeod’s eyes appeared “extremely bloodshot and highly dilated,” leading officers to suspect he may have been under the influence of a stimulant. However, it remains unclear whether he was tested for any substances at the time.

McLeod is facing misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct, according to the New York Post.

In response to the video’s release, South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Christale Spain issued a statement urging McLeod to end his campaign.

“After reviewing the transcript of the dash cam footage from his recent arrest, it is clear that Mr. McLeod is navigating profound challenges and should focus on his mental and emotional well-being instead of a campaign for governor,” Spain said.
