Most Americans Think BLM Movement Did Nothing For Black People, Poll Shows

Support for the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement has declined sharply—from 67% in 2020 to 52% in 2025—while public confidence in police has improved. As of 2025, 72% of Americans say the heightened attention to racial issues did not bring about real change, reflecting a significant drop in optimism compared to previous years.
