Black Americans built the U.S POLL

Many Black Americans today emphasize that African American labor—both enslaved and free—was essential to building the foundations of the United States. From constructing infrastructure like railroads and plantations to contributing to major industries and urban development after emancipation, Black communities highlight this legacy to assert recognition, justice, and inclusion in the national story. This perspective is often shared in social movements, education, media, and public discourse to challenge historical erasure and celebrate Black resilience and contribution.
