Jan. 6 defendants POLL

In a recent poll voters’ perceptions of what Trump will do, and how they feel about it, are more nuanced. Take the potential pardons of defendants involved in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol — a longtime Trump campaign promise. A majority of voters oppose the idea, although there are significant splits along partisan lines. In the post-election poll, Trump voters were somewhat divided, with 53 percent favoring pardons while 30 percent opposed them. (Meanwhile, 18 percent weren’t sure).
