Sometimes in life we have’ta do what we have’ta do to get noticed, and there’s other times we see people go out’ta their way to do it for no apparent reason. In high school kids would do it all the time trying to find their look mostly to only get laughed at. But every now and then someone would break through and find their perfect image. Made me jealous sometimes with their sudden popularity but looking back on it, good on them! And others were just plain cheesy with all that wasted effort and trying too hard.

Like people, many bands and artists struggled with this in an ever so picky environment. These days in the Youtube era I find it challenging to find anything that’s new that’s never been done before and it seems ideas are running thin. But every now and then it’s a treat to see someone that trying way too hard with a limited budget and come up with something cool and memorable. Just look at what Eddie Van Halen did with a red guitar and a roll of black, and white tape. Pure genius!

But anyways y’all, this one’s about any artists and band that earned your respect (or otherwise) with their new look, new sound or new members. Do you like artists that keep changing their style as the progress and what kind’ve flops have you seen?
