San Antonio homeowner confronts, shoots suspected thieves returning for more roofing materials
Two suspected thieves were injured in a shooting, following a reported theft of roofing materials on the city’s Northside.
The shooting happened around 5:13 a.m. near Allena Drive and General Krueger Blvd.
According to police, the homeowner discovered their roofing materials missing sometime earlier in the night and filed a police report.
Police say the situation escalated when the suspects allegedly returned to the scene for more materials. The homeowner, alerted by a security camera system, confronted the individuals and shot them.
Two suspects, aged 34 and 32, were injured in the exchange.
One suspect fled the scene in a truck.
Detectives are currently at the scene collecting evidence and investigating the events that led to the shooting.
