Elvis dethroned? POLL
Aaaaand the survey says: Tennessee — home state of Graceland — believes the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was more influential than the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley.
That’s the claim made Thursday via an email press release that arrived in media inboxes around the state (and probably around the nation) with the attention-grabbing subject line: “Tennessee Falling Out of Love with Elvis, Study Says.”
According to the press release, BonusFinder.com “collected data from 3,015 Americans.
The survey also found that Tennesseans “voted Michael Jackson as the most influential musician of all time,” with Elvis in second place. The polling was close: 41.3% of Tennesseans named Elvis, but 42.7% picked Presley’s future son-in-law, Jackson (married to Lisa Marie Presley from 1994 to 1996).
