I Hate My Fiancé’s Mustache—but He Refuses to Get Rid of It. Help!
Much to my dismay, my fiance Mac has grown a mustache. Not a beard mustache, just a straight up mustache.
I absolutely hate it. It looks ridiculous. But I understand it’s his decision, and as I wouldn’t want him telling me what I can or can do with my looks, I let it be.
However, we’re getting married in a month. I recently joked with him. Yes, I’m fully aware. I wasn’t actually joking, but I was trying to bring it up in a light hearted way about how I’ll have to go through the regrowing process.
After the wedding, he looked at me in total seriousness and said he wasn’t shaving it off for the wedding.
Prudy, I really don’t think I can take that. I don’t want to be staring at his mustache at the altar, and I sure as h*** don’t want to be staring at it in our pictures for the rest of our lives. I really don’t think I’m being unreasonable expecting him to shape for the wedding, but I need a neutral opinion.
If I’m not being unreasonable, how do I approach this with him?
