Just a quick note about the comments on the site. If you see your comment marked as SPAM or Pending, please know that it is NOT The News Beyond Detroit doing that. This is a DISQUS glitch that occasionally flags comments by mistake.
We’ve already reported the issue to DISQUS and they are aware of it. In the meantime, we check the comment queue regularly and try to approve legitimate comments as quickly as possible.
So if your comment doesn’t show up right away, don’t worry it’s most likely just caught in the system and will appear once we approve it.
