Empty Oil Tankers Are Racing to the US for Oil
Global oil shipping patterns are shifting as the conflict with Iran continues, and the United States appears to be gaining an advantage from the changes.
Reports indicate that large numbers of empty oil tankers are currently moving toward American ports to take on crude. Many of these vessels are among the biggest tankers in operation worldwide. President Donald J. Trump addressed the situation early this morning, saying the ships are coming to the United States to load what he described as the highest-quality crude available.
According to the president, the United States now possesses more oil than the next two largest oil-producing economies combined, and he emphasized that American crude is considered “sweet,” meaning it has a lower sulfur content and is easier to refine.
President Trump also commented on the broader economic implications and criticized news coverage of the conflict. He argued that reports claiming Iran is succeeding in the war are inaccurate and blamed those narratives on what he called “Trump Derangement Syndrome” in major media outlets.
In his remarks, President Trump said Iran’s military capabilities have been severely reduced during the conflict. He claimed Iran has lost much of its naval and air forces, its radar network has been disabled, and missile and drone production facilities have been heavily damaged. He also said many Iranian leaders are no longer in power.
The president added that the United States has begun efforts to secure the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route for oil. He described the operation as a move intended to benefit multiple countries that depend on the passage for energy supplies, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, and Germany.

At the same time, President Trump noted that oil tankers from various nations are now traveling to the United States to load crude, highlighting what he sees as growing global reliance on American energy exports.
One of the most striking items the president shared was a map showing numerous empty oil tankers reportedly heading toward U.S. ports to take on oil shipments.
