One of a Kind Video: Kid Rock Uses Apache Hovering Behind His House to Torment Gavin Newsom

Musician Kid Rock shared videos on social media last weekend showing U.S. Army helicopters flying over his Tennessee property, and he used the moment to criticize California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The videos show two AH-64 Apache helicopters, which the Associated Press identified as belonging to the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade based at Fort Campbell on the Tennessee-Kentucky border. In the footage, Kid Rock stands on the porch of his home with his infinity pool visible behind him as the helicopters pass overhead. He cheers, claps, and salutes the pilots while they fly by.

According to the Associated Press, Kid Rock has previously encouraged the pilots to fly over his home. He said he has spoken with some of them before and told them they are always welcome to cruise past his property whenever they like.

When posting the videos on the social media platform X, the singer also took aim at Newsom, writing that the California governor would never understand that kind of respect. In the clips, Kid Rock praises the military, saying “God bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her,” before raising his fist in the air as the helicopters depart.

A second video from the same moment shows another Apache helicopter flying in the background as the aircraft pass over the property.

Kid Rock’s remarks about Newsom come amid ongoing criticism of the governor from his political opponents. Newsom’s current term runs through 2027, and speculation continues about whether he may seek higher office in the future.

The musician has been one of President Donald Trump’s most outspoken celebrity supporters and frequently comments on political issues. Supporters who share his views often point to Newsom’s record as governor as a reason they oppose his potential future ambitions in national politics.
