Massachusetts lunatic charged with threatening to kill President Trump, ‘hang him’ from the Statue of Liberty

A Massachusetts man is facing federal charges after threatening President Trump in multiple Facebook posts and confronting FBI agents with a sword during his arrest.

Andrew Emerald, 45, of Great Barrington, reportedly wrote eight separate posts between May and July 2025 that contained threats against the President, including statements about hanging him from the Statue of Liberty. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts confirmed that a federal grand jury indicted him for making these online threats.

Emerald’s posts, which began on May 3, 2025, included disturbing references to killing President Trump and claimed he was fulfilling a personal mission. Later posts allegedly escalated, describing violent acts in graphic detail and accusing Trump of causing mass harm. One post on June 14, 2025, labeled Trump a “monster” responsible for “millions of deaths by proxy,” while another in July 2025 warned that Emerald would personally target the President.

Andrew Emerald, 45, was arrested on Wednesday for threatening to kill President Trump.

Authorities say the situation turned dangerous when FBI agents attempted to arrest Emerald at his home on Wednesday. He refused to leave and confronted them with a “long, metallic sword,” threatening the agents. Additional law enforcement officers and a crisis negotiator intervened, eventually convincing Emerald to surrender peacefully. Investigators found multiple bladed weapons during a search of his residence.

Emerald faces eight counts of interstate transmission of threatening communications. He was scheduled to appear in federal court in Springfield on Wednesday afternoon.

If convicted, Emerald could receive up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. His Facebook account remained active as of Wednesday evening, though it is unclear how many of the threatening posts have been removed.
