Wild video captures handcuffed Michigan woman wriggle out of police cruiser, sprint away without cops noticing
A Michigan woman handcuffed in a police vehicle managed a daring escape through an open window, evading officers, according to authorities and video footage circulating online.
The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken into custody Saturday afternoon for a parole violation after Muskegon Heights police found a vehicle parked at an abandoned business, ABC13 reported.

Officers approached the vehicle and identified the driver but initially could not confirm the identity of a female passenger. After using a fingerprint scanner, police determined the woman had an outstanding parole violation. She was then handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol cruiser.
Video from a social media live stream shows the woman, dressed entirely in black, peeking out of the half-open rear window before wriggling through headfirst with her hands still cuffed behind her back. She lowered herself to the street and ran off, the footage shows.
The camera then shows officers focused on a nearby white pickup truck, unaware their arrestee had slipped away. When an officer tapped the patrol car’s rear window, it became clear she had vanished, prompting a rapid search.
As of Monday afternoon, the woman remains at large, and the Muskegon Heights Police Department has not provided additional comments.
Later on Saturday around 4:20 p.m., a resident reported an attempted home break-in. Police now suspect the escaped woman may be responsible for that incident, which occurred less than an hour after her getaway.

Authorities confirmed she is facing new charges, including fleeing police and felony home invasion, in addition to her original parole violation. The department is also seeking additional arrest warrants for escape, breaking and entering, and larceny, ABC13 reported.
