Trump posts clip of massive blast after 2,000-lb bunker buster bombs rip through an Iranian ammunition depot

Late Monday evening, a series of powerful airstrikes targeted a major Iranian intercontinental ballistic missile base. The attacks, carried out by the United States and Israel, illuminated the night sky, continuing into early Tuesday local time.

According to reports from Al Jazeera, residents in Isfahan—a city of 2.3 million people and the site of the Badr military airbase—witnessed the intensity of the strikes firsthand. The operation, known as Epic Fury, has been underway since February 28 as a coordinated effort between the US and Israeli militaries.

The campaign has so far involved the US Air Force and Navy, and Pentagon officials say it has inflicted significant damage on Iran’s missile systems, naval forces, air capabilities, and nuclear infrastructure. Last week, CBS News reported that top military leaders were preparing contingency plans for a potential ground invasion, although President Trump disputed these reports.

“No, I’m not putting troops anywhere. If I were, I certainly wouldn’t tell you — but I’m not putting troops,” President Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal reported that the president is moving toward winding down the conflict, though not fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

A Pentagon briefing on Operation Epic Fury is scheduled for Tuesday morning, where officials are expected to provide further updates on the ongoing strikes and military strategy.
