A new controversy is emerging around former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, this time involving her husband, Byron Noem.
Only weeks after Kristi Noem’s departure from the DHS post, a report published by the Daily Mail has drawn attention to Byron Noem’s private online activity. The report, which it says is supported by photos and message exchanges, claims that Byron participated in explicit online chats with fetish models and engaged in crossdressing.
According to the publication, the messages reviewed included conversations in which Byron allegedly discussed personal fantasies and expressed an attraction to “huge, huge ridiculous boobs.” The report also included a photo that it said showed Byron wearing fake breasts and pink hotpants.
The Daily Mail said it examined hundreds of messages as part of its investigation. It also claimed that Byron referenced his wife during some of the online conversations.

Byron Noem acknowledged that he had engaged in explicit chats with online models and that he had crossdressed, but he denied making inappropriate comments about Kristi Noem in those conversations. “Yeah, I made no comments like that, that would lead to that,” Byron said in response to the claims.
A spokesperson for Kristi Noem told the Daily Mail that the family was caught off guard by the revelations. “The family was blindsided by this. They ask for privacy and prayers at this time,” the spokesperson said.
Byron Noem is a businessman in the insurance industry, a father of three, and Kristi Noem’s high school sweetheart.
