Kid Rock gives Gavin Newsom the middle finger with wild Apache helicopter stunt
The “American Bad Ass” rocker sparked a social media frenzy after posting video of a military helicopter hovering just yards from his Tennessee estate, which he has dubbed the “Southern White House.”
While the choppers created a dramatic scene, the real headline came from Rock himself, who used the moment to take aim at the Golden State on his X account over the weekend. “This is a level of respect that s— for brains Governor of California will never know,” Rock captioned the viral clip, directly targeting Gavin Newsom. “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

The jab at Newsom continues a long-running feud between the rocker and the Governor. Rock has repeatedly criticized Newsom’s policies, with tensions escalating after reports suggested that Newsom effectively “banned” the singer from California.
The clash reportedly intensified following a February video in which Rock worked out with RFK Jr. The clip shows the 55-year-old Michigan native standing on the balcony of his 27,000-square-foot mansion—a structure reminiscent of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue—while the helicopter’s massive rotors churned the air above his property.
As the choppers hovered over his infinity pool, Rock stood at attention, saluting the pilots next to a miniature Statue of Liberty.
Located in Whites Creek, Tennessee, the estate has become a symbol of Rock’s unique brand of blue-collar conservatism. With features like a gold-plated toilet and a giant American flag that rivals many car dealerships, the property has solidified its place as the centerpiece of his public persona.
