WATCH: Cop bashes teen baseball player in the head with Taser in front of crowd: ‘What the f–k’s wrong with you?’
Shocking footage from a high school baseball game in South Carolina shows a school resource officer striking a student in the head with a Taser while restraining him, sparking outrage among parents and prompting an investigation by state authorities.
The video appears to show an officer affiliated with Pee Dee Academy in Marion County grabbing a teenage baseball player in a chokehold during an on-field confrontation. As parents gather nearby and shout at the officer, he can be seen holding a Taser and pointing it toward the crowd. Moments later, he strikes the student on the side of the head with the butt of the device, causing the teen to recoil in pain.

Several people in the crowd can be heard yelling at the officer as he backs away while still holding the student around the neck.
“What the f—k’s wrong with you?” one person shouts. Another voice says, “You just lost your job, homie.” A different parent yells that the officer could lose his pension over the incident.
As tensions remain high, people in the crowd urge the student to get on his knees in an effort to calm the situation. The officer can then be heard asking, “Where’s the other fella at?”

It is still unclear what led to the confrontation. The student involved reportedly played for the team competing against private Pee Dee Academy. After the altercation, the teen can be seen rubbing the side of his head while parents continue trying to defuse the situation.
The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division has opened an investigation into the incident. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said the deputy involved has been reassigned while the investigation is underway.
