Terrorist Sympathizers in Philadelphia Celebrate Fallen U.S. Soldiers, Back Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran While Torching American Flags — “For Every U.S. soldier Who Returns Home in a Casket, We Cheer!”
A large group of masked protesters gathered outside City Hall Wednesday evening for what they called a “Hands Off Iran” demonstration, turning the event into an openly anti-American display. Participants reportedly cheered the deaths of U.S. soldiers, expressed support for groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, and burned American flags while waving Palestinian and Iranian banners.
The protest was highly visible, taking place in a major city during daylight hours, rather than being a small, hidden gathering.
Independent journalist Frank Scales of Surge Philly captured video showing a speaker in a red hoodie telling the crowd:
“Until we have done everything in our power to bring the United States to its knees, let us not lose sight of the enemy. For every U.S. military base that crumbles, and for every U.S. soldier who returns home in a casket, we cheer!”

The speaker also voiced support for groups hostile to the U.S.:
“Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansar Allah [the Houthis], and all the resistance forces – we celebrate these popular forces on the ground. They spend every waking moment confronting Zionism, relying on a strong Iranian state to sustain their efforts. Do you hate America? May a Hamas rocket destroy your family’s home.”
Scales told the Daily Mail that the protesters were openly calling for the destruction of the United States. “The speaker revealed their true intentions,” he said. “They aren’t advocating for human rights—they want to dismantle the West and America.” Scales added that he heard chants urging harm to U.S. soldiers and the country itself, with no mention of the Iranians killed by their government.
Here in Philadelphia.
Truly appalling.
These assholes chanting for the death of our servicemembers.
Where’s the Dem outrage and condemnation? https://t.co/BZ9oH0ryk1

This is what Democrats have brought to our cities.

Other participants were similarly masked, carrying Arabic-inscribed flags and signs reading “Amerika is the head of the snake” and “Right to resist, right to return.”
In a follow-up post, Scales noted that groups involved included Indivisible Philadelphia, Brandywine Peace Community, the Prayers for Peace Alliance, and CODEPINK—organizations that have previously defended Hamas’s attacks and now appear to celebrate Iran, one of the world’s leading state sponsors of terrorism.
Even Democrat Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman publicly denounced the protest, calling it a “vile display.”
