Comedian sparks outrage after dressing as Erika Kirk in latest viral video: ‘This is too far’

Comedian Druski has sparked intense backlash with his newest viral sketch, in which he impersonates Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk. The performance, viewed over 40 million times on social media, has drawn criticism from many who call it “disrespectful” and “offensive” toward a grieving spouse.

In the skit, Druski, whose real name is Drew Desbordes, paints his skin and dons a white suit, blond wig, and blue contact lenses to portray Erika Kirk. Titled “How Conservative Women in America Act,” the sketch opens with “Erika” dancing amid pyrotechnics in a parody of Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, before answering questions about the Iran war in the style of White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Druski also mimics Erika’s posture and expressions from a December CBS News town hall, where her intense stare was widely commented on. In character, he says, “We have to protect all men in America, especially the white men in America. Those are the ones we care about. Yes, because they are the ones who matter most,” while holding a Bible and referencing the holy Trinity.

The comic goes on to satirize everyday scenarios, ordering an organic “pup cup” and struggling with a Pilates workout. Last September, Druski drew attention for using “whiteface” to portray a racist NASCAR fan, showing a history of controversial portrayals.

While some viewers found the skit hilarious, others expressed outrage. Conservative commentator Jon Root wrote on X, “This is too far man… You were completely disrespectful during NFL Honors & now you’re making fun of Erika Kirk, whose husband was brutally assassinated. This ain’t it.” Another X user added, “Of all conservative women in America why her? This woman is still grieving.”

This isn’t the first time Druski has faced criticism. In February, he mispronounced Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s name while presenting him with the Offensive Player of the Year Award. Druski said he reached out to apologize but had not received a response.

As of now, Erika Kirk has not publicly addressed Druski’s sketch.
