Devastated dog dad’s 4 adorable bulldogs missing after NYC walker never returned with pups
A Bronx man is desperately trying to locate his four cherished bulldogs after his long-time dog walker failed to bring them back over the weekend.
Eusebio Baez, 35, was returning from a vacation in Vermont on Sunday when he received a shocking phone call from his dog walker. The walker told him that Baez’s dogs—Churro, Mocha, Rosie, and Banksy—were missing. “I thought it had to be a joke… there’s no way this is happening,” Baez said, recalling the moment he learned his three French bulldogs and one English bulldog were gone.
When Baez reached his apartment, the dog walker was outside, claiming the pets had vanished and offering to help locate them. Baez, however, was skeptical of the gesture.

Doorbell camera footage revealed the walker leaving Baez’s apartment near Post Road and Fieldston Terrace with the dogs around 5 p.m. on Saturday, but there was no footage showing the dogs returning. Baez pointed out that the walker was likely the only person with keys to his apartment, which he had just moved into three weeks prior.
After reporting the incident, police questioned the dog walker, who allegedly told authorities he experiences seizures that may have affected his memory, according to Baez.

Since then, Baez has been tirelessly putting up posters of his missing dogs—a pair of tan French bulldogs, a black brindle French bulldog, and a white English bulldog with brown spots—throughout the Bronx. “Being home without them doesn’t feel right,” he said. “I’ve printed about 400 flyers, gone to every pet store and vet, and put them everywhere I can.”
Baez expressed frustration that the dog walker was not arrested despite evidence suggesting the dogs were never returned. “Someone you trust had access to your dogs and never brought them back. I don’t understand how that isn’t a bigger deal,” he said.

Police confirmed the four dogs, collectively valued at $32,500, were taken without permission between Friday and Saturday. No arrests have been made, and authorities are continuing to investigate. An NYPD spokesperson said they could not comment further on the questioning of the dog walker.
Baez remains focused on recovering his pets. “People make mistakes, but my priority is getting my dogs back,” he said. “These dogs mean the world to me. My life, my schedule, everything revolves around caring for them. I just want them home.”
