Beautician learns her fate over killing of Kim Kardashian lookalike with backroom butt lift
A San Mateo County jury has convicted beautician Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, of felony involuntary manslaughter for the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani, a 34-year-old OnlyFans creator and Kim Kardashian lookalike, following an illegal buttock enhancement procedure.
Gourkani had hired Gomez to perform silicone injections in a hotel backroom in April 2023, aiming to enlarge her buttocks. Gomez, who had no medical license, administered multiple injections, after which Gourkani began to suffer severe complications.

During the procedure, Gourkani went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to Mills Peninsula Hospital, where she died the next day due to respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism, according to prosecutors.
Authorities apprehended Gomez shortly afterward at Fort Lauderdale Airport. She was extradited to California to face trial. Having been free prior to the verdict, Gomez will remain in custody until her sentencing hearing on May 5 and could face up to seven years in prison.

Gourkani’s family shared the pain of her sudden passing through an online fundraiser, describing the moment they learned she was in critical condition. They called it a “tragic phone call that instantly shattered our world and will forever haunt our family.” The fundraiser raised $6,607 before it was closed.
Remembered as a warm and generous person, Gourkani was praised for her ability to make people smile. Her family said her spirit “will forever carry on to her loved ones and those she touched.”
