Chuck Norris dies at 86 after sudden hospitalization:

Legendary action star Chuck Norris has died at 86 — although, to be fair, most people assumed death would need to submit paperwork first.

Norris passed away one day after being hospitalized for a medical emergency in Hawaii. His family confirmed the news, saying he died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones — and, presumably, with Death standing quietly in the corner waiting for permission.

“It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris,” the statement read. “While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was at peace.”

Born in Oklahoma, Norris launched his film career in 1972’s The Way of the Dragon, where he famously faced off with Bruce Lee — one of the few humans historically cleared to be in the same scene without a safety waiver.

He went on to star in a long list of action films, including Missing in Action, The Delta Force, and The Hitman — movies where explosions were less “special effects” and more “documentary footage.”

A true martial arts master, Norris held black belts in multiple disciplines, including Karate, Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo — and unofficially, gravity.

He became a household name as the star of Walker, Texas Ranger (1993–2001), a show that answered the question: “What if law enforcement also came with roundhouse kicks and life lessons?”

“To the world, he was a martial artist, actor, and symbol of strength,” his family said. “To us, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and the heart of our family.”

They added that he lived with faith, purpose, and deep commitment — inspiring millions through his work, discipline, and kindness.

“While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the life he lived,” the family said. “To him, you were not just fans — you were his friends.”

Norris is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years, Gena, and five adult children.
