Actor and martial artist Chuck Norris was taken to a hospital in Hawaii after a medical emergency on the island of Kauai, according to sources familiar with the situation.
People with direct knowledge say the incident happened within the past day. While the exact cause of the emergency has not been disclosed, those sources say Norris is reportedly in good spirits while receiving care.

The situation appears to have developed quickly. A friend who spoke with Norris on Wednesday said the 86-year-old was training on the island earlier that day and seemed upbeat during their phone call, even making jokes.
Norris recently celebrated his 86th birthday earlier this month. To mark the occasion, he shared a video on social media that showed him sparring with a trainer.
