Trans woman dressed up like Blues Brothers allegedly murdered millionaire developer in LA
A 39-year-old transgender woman, dressed in a Blues Brothers-style outfit, is accused of killing a 92-year-old millionaire developer in his Hermosa Beach home, authorities reported.
Eleanor Beaulieu faces homicide charges in the death of Demetrius Doukoullos and is currently held at Los Angeles County’s Men’s Central Jail, according to inmate records.
Police were called Saturday around 12:30 p.m. after Doukoullos’ realtor grew concerned about not hearing from him for about a week. The initial welfare check quickly escalated when officers discovered signs of a possible homicide, Hermosa Beach Police Sgt. Keagan Dadigan said.
Neighbors reported a strong, unpleasant odor coming from the residence and had seen a suspicious individual near the property, according to Easy Reader News.
Patty Snyder, a local resident, told NBC4 that the realtor had been worried about Doukoullos. “She was doing a check on him, and the house smelled terrible, so she called the police,” Snyder said.

Upon arriving, officers were met with Beaulieu, who claimed to be armed, triggering a standoff that lasted roughly seven hours. Authorities described the situation as tense, with Beaulieu barricading herself inside the home.
SWAT teams from Hermosa Beach, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach, and El Segundo were deployed to the scene. An officer repeatedly warned Beaulieu through a bullhorn that police would forcibly enter if she did not surrender.
Eventually, Beaulieu emerged wearing a fedora, suit, sunglasses, and black tie. She was handcuffed and escorted to one of the many police vehicles outside.
Law enforcement sources told NBC4 that Doukoullos’ body was found partially decomposed and showed signs of trauma.

Doukoullos had been leasing the downstairs unit of a Hermosa Beach triplex for about a year, after selling his longtime home near Hermosa Strand, according to property manager Neil Chhabria. He had lived alone since the death of his wife in 2012.
Beaulieu is being held on $2 million bail. The precise relationship between her and Doukoullos remains unknown, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau will continue investigating the case, including the cause of death.
